A little bit about our campsite

We are a small, family-run, back to nature campsite in Chailey, set in a peaceful pocket of countryside. We are located around 10 minutes drive from the historic market town of Lewes, 30 mins from the seaside resort of Brighton, and 1 hour from London Victoria.

It is our vision to provide a safe and sustainable haven, where like-minded souls can enjoy a rejuvenating camping experience, connecting to nature and have family fun whilst leaving no trace.  We recognise that community and wellness are key to camping happiness, so we will be present at our campsite to offer a friendly welcome and local advice, offer massages and Reiki sessions in our therapy tent and an outdoor yoga class on Saturday mornings.  To protect the land, we have compost toilets, provide environmentally friendly washing up liquid, Shampoo, hand wash, and toilet roll and in return we ask that you take all your rubbish home with you, recycling what you can.

At Earth Camp we offer exclusivity, by keeping pitches spacious and to a minimum.  The slope in the middle of our field separates pitches into three distinct areas, which allows generous spacing and privacy.   Our peaceful pitches are perfect for small  quiet groups and families, with couples and lone campers also welcome.

While being a pocket of tranquillity in the Sussex countryside, the site is surrounded by stunningly scenic national footpaths, and is conveniently situated a short cross-country walk from several pubs.  Please see our Things to Do page to get your daily plans started.

We have a table tennis table, a badminton/volleyball court, 5-a-side football goals, petanque, light-up frisbees & diablos, Kubb, Mölkky and Corn Hole, so please ask, or check our games box (near the front facilities). We are perfect for families and children, with plenty of games and space to play, and adjoining woodland that kids can play in safely.

Evenings can be enjoyed chatting with your friends, listening to soft music, or gazing up at the stars in the dark night sky, while sitting around the warm glow of a fire pit (a large variety of which are available to borrow free of charge, with local kindling and firewood for sale at your tent each night).  We have a noise curfew of 22:30 to respect our neighbours and all guests. We stay on site every weekend, camping with you, and enforce the curfew when required - we do enjoy a good nights sleep!

Earth Camp is a truly special place to be. The campsite lies on a ley line, and the Greenwich Meridian Line runs directly through the campsite. You can truly feel the energy running through the ground.

We look forward to meeting you, and sharing our beautiful meadow with you,

Will, Rachel, Isaac & Solomon x
