We're delighted to announce that we will be holding a Yoga Retreat at Earth Camp in June 2024! Our resident yoga teachers Sarah and Fiona, will lead you through a minimum of 6 yoga sessions during the weekend.

The sessions will range from energising to restorative, taught in an accessible style, so that you will get the most out of the time here.

Sessions will be taught on the meadow (weather permitting) and within the light and airy dome marquee so you can really connect with nature while you are here.

At Earth Camp we are a family, and invite you to join our community for the weekend. Our exquisite campsite is very peaceful; there will be time to relax, play games, and you can also enjoy 1-2-1 sessions throughout the weekend, with yoga, reiki, massage, pellowah, Indian head massage and reflexology treatments and sound baths all available.

There will be a group campfire, with an optional Kirtan, but you are welcome to have your own firepit if preferred - either way, the low light pollution in Chailey offers an outstanding view of the stars.

Our campsite will only be open to Yoga Retreat participants this weekend, so it will be very peaceful and everyone will have plenty of space.

Guide Schedule*

*Please note the schedule may change

We are so lucky to have the Full Circle Solar Stage as our fabulous base for our weekend (you may recognise it from Glastonbury or a number of other festivals!) We hope to do lots of outdoor classes, in our meadow or the woods; but if the weather did turn, we have plenty of space to run indoor classes.

Meet your yogis:

Sarah

The yoga I teach is an accessible style, and I have been teaching for 10 years.

I have a scaravelli inspired background,  incorporating this along with somatic and functional movement into flowing practices. I am trained to teach both dynamic and therapeutic style yoga, which is sensitive towards any joint issues.

I am also trained to teach restorative and yoga nidra.

Fiona

I’m a yoga teacher with 200+hours of training. I am trained in the practice of restorative yoga, as well as yoga and somatics. I love to share my practice, guiding my students to develop and explore yoga for themselves.

I gain so much from yoga, moving through asana (postures), to meditation, to pranayama (breath work) and karma yoga. So much of my practice benefits me both on and off of the yoga mat.

Earth Camp, Chailey

We established Earth Camp in 2021 to provide a beautiful space for people to spend time at one with nature. Our eco-friendly approach is at the heart of everything we do, as we steadily build a nourishing community here.

Providing a great service is so important to us (check our reviews below!), and nothing is too much to ask when you stay at Earth Camp. We always camp with you, making sure we keep our wonderful compost toilets, sinks and hot showers perfectly clean at all times. We look forward to meeting you.

Gong Bath

Your Sound Bath:

We are really pleased to welcome our friend and Sound Therapist, Allan Santipâlo from Good Vibrations Sound Therapy, to our Yoga Retreat.

Allan trained with Sheila Williams and the College of Sound Healing in 2017, and has been running group sound journeys and gong baths for the last 7 years across Sussex. He originally attended a gong bath in 2016 where it had a profound effect on his own healing journey.

He will be bringing his collection of beautiful high quality gongs, Himalayan singing bowls and grounding instruments to lead us in a deeply healing sound journey on Saturday night.

Gongs have been used in ceremony and healing for thousands of years, and have become popular for healing in the West since the 1960’s.

During the gong bath you will be immersed in a soundscape created by Allan, to quieten the mind and enter a deep state of relaxation, allowing the body to enter a state like deep sleep, where it can heal.

The gongs work by allowing sound and vibrations to move through every cell in the body, often helping to shift our physical and mental blockages. From his work and research, many people report feeling less stressed and like their body has had a reset and Allan's work has helped people with their anxiety, depression and sleep issues.

During the Gong Bath you can lie down on the ground or sit in meditation pose, wrapped in warm blankets or a sleeping bag to keep you warm and cosy. (Please bring blankets, cushions and anything else you need to be warm and comfortable for the hour)

It will be a beautiful way to end our first full day of the retreat and set us up for the evening.
